Race Course Road Renamed

The Race Course Metro station, located few metres away from the Prime Minister's official residence, will soon be known as Lok Kalyan Marg station, in line with the recent renaming of the iconic British-era road in posh Lutyens' Delhi.

Renaming of the iconic Race Course road, on which Prime Minister's residence is located, drew mixed reactions from political parties and historians with few welcoming it while others slamming the move.

India's most famous address will no longer be 7, Race Course Road. The street in Delhi on which Prime Minister Narendra Modi lives has been renamed 'Lok Kalyan Marg'.
