Those entering Punjab via air, rail or road are required to furnish a Covid negative report, cinema halls, bars and gymnasiums are to be shut as part of added curbs announced in the state on Sunday amid rising Covid cases.

A few states including Delhi, Karnataka and Maharashtra, have decided not to reopen schools, others like Punjab have declared reopening of schools. A few schools resumed classes from September 21 on a voluntary basis for Classes 9-12, as advised by the Centre earlier during Unlock 4.

No trial of clothing shall be allowed in shopping malls, while places of worship will be barred from distributing ''prasad'' when they reopen from June 8, according to the guidelines issued by the Punjab government on Saturday.
