Karnataka governor has sent the bill giving 4 per cent reservation to Muslims in government contracts to President Droupadi Murmu for assent, saying that the Constitution doesn't allow for reservations based on religion.

Public Procurement Bill to check corruption

In order to check corruption and ensure transparency in public procurement, the Government has introduced a Bill in the Lok Sabha under which a public servant can be imprisoned for up to five years for accepting bribe and vitiating the bidding process.
