  Karnataka Governor Sends Bill For 4% Muslim Reservation To President

  Karnataka governor has sent the bill giving 4 per cent reservation to Muslims in government contracts to President Droupadi Murmu for assent, saying that the Constitution doesn't allow for reservations based on religion.

• Parliament session in February to pass Vote on Account

  With Lok Sabha elections due in April-May, government will hold a session of Parliament in the first fortnight of February to pass the Vote on Account

  In order to check corruption and ensure transparency in public procurement, the Government has introduced a Bill in the Lok Sabha under which a public servant can be imprisoned for up to five years for accepting bribe and vitiating the bidding process.
