A Twitter user who recently travelled on an IndiGo flight shared a screenshot of the price break-up of his ticket fare, and one detail from the bill has caught the attention of netizens.

The Railways on Thursday implemented the revised single-journey ticket fares for passengers travelling in first-class compartments and air-conditioned suburban local trains here, an official said.

Domestic flight operators are allowed to give concessions in ticket prices to those passengers who carry no baggage or only cabin baggage, aviation watchdog Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has said in a circular.

Passengers will have to spend more money for air travel from now as the Civil Aviation Ministry on Thursday increased the lower and upper limits on domestic airfares by 10 to 30 per cent.

The committee has also suggested that the railways should strengthen their planning, management and monetary mechanisms substantial non-fare revenues

The time limit is extended for the tickets between the journey period - March 21, 2020 to July 31, 2020 and is applicable only for the regular timetabled trains cancelled by Indian Railways

The Ministry of Civil Aviation stated that it has been monitoring the traffic every day, and that the air traffic is expected to further pick up because of the festive season. As the passenger traffic increases, the upper cap would be revised to 70-75 per cent of normal capacity in the coming days.
