The Pakistan Supreme Court on Monday constituted a nine-judge bench to examine the report of a judicial commission that probed a mysterious memo seeking US help to prevent a feared military coup here after the killing of Osama bin Laden last year.

Farahnaz Ispahani, President Asif Ali Zardari's media adviser and wife of former envoy to US Husain Haqqani, on Monday rejected a media report that she has fled the country. Ms Ispahani shot down the report attributed to her that said she had fled to Washington fearing abduction by the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

Businessman Mansoor Ijaz, who plays a starring role in Pakistan's political scandal Memogate, has delayed his trip home. Mr Ijaz's lawyers say he is being threatened. He has applied for a visa in Switzerland. He will not be in Pakistan before January 25, where he is expected to testify in the Supreme Court.
