Nepal Reopens 6 Heritage Sites for Public After Deadly Earthquakes

Nepal today reopened six heritage sites, including the famed Pashupathinath temple, for the public in a bid to woo tourists back, nearly two months after deadly earthquakes severely damaged some of the country's historic cultural sites and killed nearly 9,000 people.

Nepal is planning to re-open the historical structures and monuments enlisted by the UNESCO as World Heritage sites to the tourists as well as the general public from August 17 as only 15 per cent of the sites have been damaged in the recent devastating earthquakes.
