Aam Aadmi Party's Rajya Sabha candidate ND Gupta's candidature has been approved, quashing Congress complaints, AAP said on Monday.

The Congress on Saturday demanded rejection of the candidature of AAP nominee ND Gupta in the Rajya Sabha election from Delhi on the ground that he holds an office of profit as a trustee of the National Pension System.

After 18 people, including ex-Reserve Bank chief Raghuram Rajan said no, Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party named one senior party leader Sanjay Singh and two little known men, evidently added hurriedly to its list of three nominees for the Rajya Sabha from Delhi.
