We saw emotional scene, but I know they will not do anything to disturb the peace. It is, however, disheartening to see 80-90-year-olds sitting on a hunger strike. This should alarm each of us - here is an army which stood by the nation when it wanted something, it is that time that the nation gives back to veterans.

Retired defence personnel are protesting across the country including at Delhi's Jantar Mantar today against the delay in the implementation of the long-awaited 'One Rank One Pension'. The ex-servicemen have also declared a relay hunger strike from Monday.
