Opposition Parties Slam BJP Over Amartya Sen's Exit From Nalanda University
Opposition parties today slammed the BJP government over Nobel laureate Dr Amartya Sen's decision to withdraw his candidature for a second term as as Nalanda University's Chancellor, saying "dumping" him from the post was a "shame" and a "sad day" for the university.

Nalanda University to start session from 2014
The proposed Nalanda International University will embark on its fresh journey from 2014 and will offer courses in History and Ecological Studies in the beginning. Chancellor Amartya Sen said that they are going to start with School of Historical Studies and School of Environment and Ecological Studies from 2014.
