Intense heat waves continued to sweep Maharashtra's Vidarbha region, with neighbouring Chandrapur district recording the maximum temperature of 47 degree Celsius on Monday. The Brahmapuri taluka in the district came a close second with the mercury touching 46 degree Celsius, Met officials said.
