The Bombay High Court today rejected the bail pleas of the owners of two eateries in central Mumbai's Kamala Mills compound which were gutted in a fire last December and killed 14 people.

A sessions court here Wednesday rejected the bail pleas of three owners of '1 Above' pub and a co-owner of the adjacent 'Mojo's Bistro' in the Kamala Mills fire case, but granted bail to two employees.

The Supreme Court today allowed a co-owner of Mumbai's Kamala Mills to withdraw his petition challenging his arrest in the case related to the fire tragedy in the building complex that had claimed 14 lives last December.

The three owners of the '1 Above' pub, which was gutted in the Kamala Mills Compound fire in Mumbai last year, were today arrested in a case related to non- payment of Provident Fund (PF) to their employees, police said.

A Mumbai court today remanded Ramesh Gowani, co-owner of Kamala Mills compound, in police custody till January 29 after he was arrested in connection with the deadly fire at two pubs which claimed 14 lives last month.
