The DNA sample of Raj Narayan, son of alleged mastermind of the Jawahar Bagh incident, which left 29 persons dead, was sent for forensic examination on Tuesday, police said.

The Allahabad High Court today deferred till October 25 its hearing on a PIL seeking transfer of the investigation into the Jawahar Bagh incident of Mathura to the CBI, even as one of the petitioners alleged that the Uttar Pradesh government's counter affidavit was "vague, false and incorrect".

Crime branch of Mathura police has filed chargesheet against 104 people, including the Jawahar Bagh encroachers' spearhead and a woman, for the murder of two police officers during an eviction operation on June 2.

The prime accused in the Mathura violence case Chandan Bose and his wife were today arrested from a village in Parsurampur area in Basti, police said.

Number of deaths in the clashes between the police and encroachers of Jawahar Bagh has risen to 29 with two more persons succumbing to their injuries. The police has also registered 45 cases against the occupants.

The police on Sunday filed cases against 586 people for Saturday's violence in Mathura in which farmers, protesting the delay in payment of compensation for their land, pelted stones at security personnel and set vehicles ablaze. Ten people were arrested on Saturday night.
