Sukma Attack: 26 CRPF Personnel Dead In Encounter With Maoists

In the deadliest Maoist ambush since 2010, 26 personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force died and six were injured in Chhattisgarh's Sukma this afternoon. The attack started around 1 pm, when the men from 74 Battalion were providing protection to a group of construction workers who were building a road in the area.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has issued a recall notice for 69,555 diesel vehicles (55,938 units of Old Dzire, 12,486 units of Old Swift and 1,131 units of Ritz) manufactured between March 8, 2010 and August 11, 2013.

A 22-year-old youth has been sentenced to life imprisonment by a Delhi court for raping a 77-year-old woman in the Capital. The court observed that the case was a glaring example of how "no woman is safe, whatever her age".
