Mahayuti Alliance Seat Sharing

Nationalist Congress Party chief and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Tuesday said that the Mahayuti seat-sharing formula has been almost finalised and an announcement in this regard will be made on March 28.

In a final effort to save its alliance with long-time ally BJP, the Shiv Sena today proposed yet another seat sharing formula for the Maharashtra polls, saying it was ready to contest from 151 seats, four seats short of its earlier demand of 155.

Talks between the Shiv Sena and the BJP led 'Mahayuti' alliance to contest the Maharashtra assembly elections are "positive and in its final stages," Maharashtra BJP's president Devendra Fadnavis said today.
