The China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC) has claimed that its new magnetically levitated (maglev) train has surpassed its previous record of 623 kilometres per hour during tests in a low-vacuum tube just 2 km long.

Indian Railways, IIT Madras Collaborate to Develop Country’s First Indigenous Hyperloop

The Indian Ministry of Railways will collaborate with IIT Madras to develop an "indigenous" Hyperloop system, officials confirmed. Railway ministry will also help set-up a Centre of Excellence for Hyperloop Technologies at IIT Madras. The premier institute approached Ministry of Railways in March-2022 with a proposal for collaborative working.
