Nursery admissions: Supreme Court asks Delhi government to consider increasing seats

The Supreme Court today asked the Delhi government to consult the Lieutenant Governor on whether schools can increase 5-6 seats in nursery classes so that the problem of inter-state cases can be solved.

Reviewing an earlier order regarding nursery admission in private unaided schools in Delhi, Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung today relaxed the distance criteria for students from six kilometre to eight kilometre, giving parents more choices of schools for their children.
