Kochi Metro trains to have 3 coaches to carry 1,000 passengers

The Kochi Metro Board today decided to have three coaches in each train with a total carrying capacity of 1,000 passengers. The decision in this regard was taken at a board meeting near Kochi.

Board gives approval for Kochi Metro project

The Kochi Metro Board on Friday gave its approval to the agreement to be signed between the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and the Kochi Metro Rail Ltd (KMRL) for the execution of the first phase of the Rs 5,180 crore project, the foundation stone of which was laid by Prime Minister.

The Kochi Metro Rail Ltd (KMRL) on Tuesday informed the Kerala High Court that the Kochi Metro Rail project would be placed before the Union Cabinet for final approval after a meeting of the Planning and Investment Board, scheduled next week.
