A Delhi court today granted bail to suspended BJP legislator Kirti Azad and two others in a criminal defamation case in which he was accused of deliberately lying to harm an under-19 cricketer's career. Mr Azad was granted bail on a personal bond of Rs 10,000.

Delhi's cricket body DDCA today said it would sue Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for defamation for making "wild and baseless" allegations on corruption in the selection of players. "If the charges were true, Virat Kohli wouldn't be the captain today," said the association's acting chief Chetan Chauhan.
