Twenty-five students were taken to hospital after they fell sick allegedly due to gas leak from a laboratory at a college in Telangana's Hyderabad.

Over 50 students at government Kasturba school suffered food poisoning and were admitted to a hospital in Sanga Reddy district of Telangana, said RDO, Narayankhed.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation on Friday declared the results of its fourth genome sequencing series and said 75 per cent of the samples tested were found infected with the Delta variant and the rest with Delta derivative.

The study published in the journal Analytical Chemistry has been a collaborative work of Kasturba Hospital in Mumbai, QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute in Australia and Agilent Technologies and led by the IIT Bombay Professor Sanjeeva Srivastava.

A total of 58 patients, 20 of them undergoing treatment for coronavirus, were evacuated after LPG leakage was reported at the civic-run Kasturba Hospital in Mumbai's Chinchpokli area on Saturday, an official said.
