The Supreme Court on Monday issued a notice to the Central Bureau of Investigation or CBI on a plea by DMK MP Kanimozhi in 2G scam case for quashing of the charges against her in the spectrum allocation scam, claiming she has been falsely implicated in the case.

Kanimozhi is likely to head to Chennai on Saturday for a few days. The Rajya Sabha MP who was arrested in May for her alleged role in the telecom scam was granted bail yesterday by the Delhi High Court.

When Kanimozhi arrived at her home from Tihar Jail, she was greeted by fireworks and rangoli or "kolam" that spelled out "welcome."

Kanimozhi, who is expected to leave Tihar Jail today, is likely to head to Chennai on Saturday for a few days. The Rajya Sabha MP who was arrested in May for her alleged role in the telecom scam was granted bail yesterday by the Delhi High Court.

The Delhi High Court is hearing the bail pleas of DMK MP Kanimozhi and five others accused in the 2G spectrum scam.

DMK chief Karunanidhi was hospitalised on Monday night because of a reported urinary tract infection. Mr Karunanidhi's daughter Kanimozhi is currently in Delhi's Tihar Jail for her alleged role in the 2G scam.

Kanimozhi will have to spend Diwali in jail, but a week after that, she may be able to leave Tihar Jail, nearly six months after she was arrested for her alleged role in the telecom scam.
