Indian Space Research Organisation to launch India's communication satellite GSAT-24 by Arianespace from Kourou in French Guiana on June 22. The satellite and its allied equipment were shipped to Kourou, French Guiana on May 18 using C-17 Globemaster aircraft.

Indian rocket scientists, who work on the country's finest space vehicles and used to their roaring sounds, have made their first music video ahead of India's 70th Independence Day. While they deal with rocket science during the day, 20-odd members of ROCK@ Band (pronounced Rocket Band) make music after sunset.

The satellites would be replacements for operational satellites providing services in multiple frequency bands including C, Extended-C and Ku Bands.
