India South Korea Special Strategic Partnership

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached South Korean capital Seoul early this morning for a two-day visit aimed at strengthening the special strategic partnership between the two nations. PM Modi's visit also aims at bolstering bilateral trade and cultural ties.

PM Modi tweeted Mr Moon, saying he looks forward to a special strategic partnership with South Korea and and to meet him soon and work closely with him. The Prime Minister often wishes world leaders in their language. Soon after he took charge in 2014 and ahead of a visit to Japan he had tweeted in Japanese.

South Korea will provide 10 billion US dollars to India for infrastructure, development of smart cities, railways, power generation and other diversified areas as the two countries agreed to upgrade their bilateral relationship to a "Special Strategic Partnership" today.
