The efforts of some men to catch cattle thieves led to a high-speed chase with mini trucks ramming other vehicles on a dimly lit expressway in Gurugram, in what looked like a pursuit scene straight out of an action film.

Enraged at being overtaken, five men allegedly chased after a car and thrashed its driver on the Gurugram-Faridabad Road, Gurugram police said on Saturday.

Three alleged cattle smugglers were arrested Thursday after being chased by 'gau rakshak' in Sector 56 area when their car overturned, police said.
