India today handed over to Mauritius a fast patrol vessel, designed and built in-house by Goa Shipyard Limited, which will be used for coastal patrolling, anti-piracy and anti-smuggling besides search and rescue operations.

The 15th vessel in the series of 20 Fast Patrol Vessel, ICGS Arinjay, has been delivered by the Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) to the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) more than two months ahead of schedule.
