Promoters of Essar Group, Anshuman and Ravi Ruia and Loop Telecom promoters I P Khaitan and Kiran Khaitan, were today granted exemption from personal appearance by a Delhi court, which had summoned them as accused in the 2G case.

The CBI is likely to file the third chargesheet in the 2G case today. CBI sources said that the Director of the agency has given the go-ahead to book corporate giants - the Ruias and Khaitans - for creating Loop as a front company for Essar to get a spectrum licence.
