Electric vehicles are a powerful weapon in the world's battle to beat global warming, yet their impact varies hugely from nation-to-nation and in some places they pollute more than gasoline models, data analysis shows.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced incentives on the sale of electric vehicles in the state to encourage the use of eco-friendly vehicles and reduce vehicular pollution level.

The e-Alfa Mini comes with a seating capacity of 4+1 and is designed specifically for Indian conditions. The eco-friendly vehicle is now available on sale in Delhi-NCR at a price of Rs. 1.12 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
