Ec Announces Assembly Polls Dates

BJP president J P Nadda on Monday welcomed the election commission's (EC) announcement of assembly polls in five states and claimed his party will form government in all the states with a big majority under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.

The Election Commission, or EC, said the Himachal Pradesh assembly election will be held on November 12 and counting is on December 8; the Gujarat election dates will be announced later. The EC said it will keep a hawk's eye on poll code violations.
