A 13-year-old boy died due to electrocution when he came in contact with a live wire while playing cricket in Delhi on Saturday afternoon, police said.

Human rights body NHRC has issued notices to the Delhi government, the city police chief and a power discom in connection with the death of a man due to electrocution in Patel Nagar, officials said on Thursday.

The Delhi Police has registered an FIR after three people -- a plumber, his son and an electrician -- died allegedly due to electric shock at a private hospital in outer Delhi's Ranhola area, officials said on Saturday.

Five members of a family were today awarded the death penalty by the Rohini court in the 2010 Swaroop Nagar killing case where a teenaged couple were beaten up mercilessly, tortured and then electrocuted by the convicts who objected to the girl's marriage with a boy from a different caste.
