There are 2,080 ultra high net worth individuals in India with wealth of over USD 50 million, and the number of dollar millionaires in the country is projected to touch 3,05,000 in the next five years, says Credit Suisse Global Wealth Report.

Worldwide, the number of millionaires is set to increase by about 53 per cent in the next five years, reaching 5.3 crore individuals in 2019, according to a study from Swiss banking giant Credit Suisse.

As many as 84,000 Indians are expected to become millionaires by 2017, according to a global wealth report. "India is likely to see a substantial jump of 53 per cent in the number of millionaires to 84,000 by 2017," Credit Suisse Research Institute's Global Wealth Report said.
