Cauvery Issue: Centre Moves Supreme Court, Asks For Time Citing Karnataka Polls
Citing assembly elections in Karnataka, which are due on May 12, Centre has moved the Supreme Court on the Cauvery river water dispute. The Centre has sought three months' time to implement the top court's order and has also sought clarification on the constitution of Cauvery Management Board.

Centre Moves Supreme Court To Stay Proceedings Against Demonetisation
The Supreme Court today agreed to hear a fresh plea of the Centre seeking a stay on the proceedings before various high courts and other courts except the Supreme court against its November 8 decision to demonetise high denomination currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000. The Top Court will hear the plea tomorrow.
