Four people sustained injuries after a part of ceiling plaster collapsed and fell on them in the city's hospital, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said on Monday.

An eight-year-old boy was killed and a woman injured, when the plaster from the ceiling of their home fell on them in the western suburb of Goregaon here in the early hours of Friday, a civic official said.

A six-year-old student of standard one died and six others were injured in Bettiah town Tuesday when chunks of ceiling plaster of their school fell on them in Bihar's West Champaran district.

Two US nationals and an Indian tourist were injured when the false ceiling of a five-star hotel came crashing down on them in South Goa, police said today. Work on the ceiling, made of plaster of Paris, was going on in the main lobby of the hotel yesterday when it fell over some tourists, Deputy Superintendent of Police Mohan Naik said.
