Blast Chemical Waste

A 32-year-old man died while his father was injured on Sunday in a suspected blast triggered while they were cleaning a chemical can, police said.

At least 30 people were injured Thursday, three of them seriously, in an explosion at recycling site for hazardous chemical waste near Madrid, forcing the evacuation of nearby schools, authorities said.

Three persons, including a woman, were injured when a box containing "some chemicals" exploded at the main road in Pethaniapuram in this city today, police said.
