Bangladesh police on Saturday arrested for murder the owner of a factory where 52 people died, as it emerged that children as young as 11 had been working there.

The death toll in the fire tragedy at a Bangladeshi factory today climbed to 32 after more bodies were retrieved from under the debris and authorities called in a team of army to join the rescue operation.

Rescue workers in Bangladesh have given up hopes of finding any more survivors in the rubble of a building that collapsed five days ago, and began using heavy machinery to remove the rubble and look for bodies, an official said on Monday.

Middle-order batsman Manoj Tiwary, who guided India to a 34-run victory over the West Indies in the fifth and final one-dayer here today, dedicated his match-winning century to those who died in a Kolkata hospital fire on Friday.
