Bangalore Walkathon

To get a first-hand experience of life in the high-altitude Himalayas and understand the impact of melting of glaciers due to global warming, a group of people, including researchers and youngsters, will undertake a two-week trek next month.

At a time when the city of Bangalore is reeling under acute water crisis, more than 150 volunteers of the Art of Living Foundation in Bangalore, along with founder Sri Sri Ravishankar led a walkathon with posters on how to save water.

Members of NKS Kutumba, a city-based Non-Government Organisation began their walk from Lalbagh West Gate towards Krishna Rao Park, Basavangudi, Gandhi Bazar and then back to Lalbagh on Sunday to spread awareness about the usage of plastic bags.
