Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has directed party workers to get ready for 'Haqeeqi Azadi March' on Islamabad, local media reported.

Failing to control the growing unrest due to the protest march launched by Imran Khan, the Shehbaz Sharif government has been forced to call in the army to protect the Red Zone as former PM entered Islamabad in the early hours of Thursday.

Pakistan's hard-line cleric Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Friday gave Prime Minister Imran Khan a two-day ultimatum to resign, saying the "Gorbachev of Pakistan" must step down without testing the patience of peaceful protestors.

Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf or PTI has called off talks with the government aimed at ending protests that seek the resignation of Pakistan's Prime Minister and which have destabilised the country. "I will not move from here till Nawaz Sharif resigns," Mr Khan resolved on Thursday evening and added, "Go Nawaz Go!!"
