MK Stalin To Protest Ban On Sale Of Cattle For Slaughter On May 31

DMK working president MK Stalin will lead a protest on May 31 in Chennai against the Centre's ban on the sale of cattle for slaughter at animal markets. The party also hit out at Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami government for "keeping mum" on the issue when the neighbouring states of Kerala and Karnataka have opposed it.

Forest Department Warning on Leopard Movement in Erode

With surveillance cameras spotting a leopard in the ghat road section in Erode, the forest department has advised people to be careful and not venture into the area between 10 pm-6 am.

Twelve feet long python rescued

A 12-feet long python was rescued by forest officials from a sugarcane field at a village in the district and let into jungle, officials said. The python was rescued last evening at Sembulichampalayam village near Anthiyur after a farmer alerted forest personnel.
