Has Abhinav Bindra got his way?
New Delhi: After the tussle with the administration, India's Olympic gold winning shooter Abhinav Bindra may just have had his way with them as the rifle body is ready to consider his out of trial score to allow him to compete in World Cups 3 and 4.

Last week, Bindra had threatened to quit the sport because of the way the (NRAI) had been dealing with him. Bindra, who had been training in Germany, was asked by the NRAI to attend national trials.

He had written to the Sports Ministry requesting to allow his international scores as selection trial scores for the Commonwealth shooting championships in February so that he could prepare for the Commonwealth Games and the Asiad.

Though he got the clearance from the Ministry, the team for the first two editions of the World Cup was selected before the controversy broke out.

However it seems a comprise has been achieved between Bindra and NRAI as the game's governing body has said they're willing to consider his 'out of trial' score of 596 for World Cups 3 & 4 to be held in US and Belgrade.

In exchange all they want from him is to attend the trials for the Commonwealth Games and the World Championship.
