Aisha is based on Jane Austen's novel Emma.
In a recent interview, Sonam said: "I'm a girl. I love clothes! I love dressing up. People like what we wear and yeah, so Aisha has got a specific look because in high society Delhi or in 'Emma' it was all about shopping in London and wearing the most beautiful clothes and getting a make-over. Clothes are a huge part of Austen novels and it's a huge part of 'Aisha' as well.
