'Virginity' remark verdict soon

New Delhi: The Supreme Court heard defamation cases against actor Kushboo's remarks on pre-marital sex on Tuesday. The core of the argument was whether Kushboo's statement amounts to defamation or not.

The judges wanted to know how a defamation case is made out against Kushboo for her comments when there is no aggrieved party.

Chief Justice KG Balakrishnan asked: "Please tell us what is the offence and under which section should she be charged? Tell me how many people have been affected by Khusboo's statement?"
