Parliament Monsoon Session Day 4 Highlights: The proceedings of Lok Sabha as well as Rajya Sabha have been adjourned till 11:00 am on July 25 amid protest from the opposition members. 

Earlier, Rajya Sabha was adjourned till 2:00 pm after opposition disrupted proceedings demanding discussion on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar.

Lok Sabha was also adjourned amid chaos over Bihar roll revision issue by opposition MPs.

Rajya Sabha Proceedings Adjourned Till 11:00 am On July 25

Due to the continuous protest by the opposition members, the proceedings of the Lok Sabha as well as Rajya Sabha were adjourned till Friday, 11:00 am.

"As long as you show placards, the proceedings of the House cannot go on," Acting Speaker Krishna Prasad Tenet said.

Special Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam, known for handling the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack trials, took oath as a member of the Rajya Sabha on Thursday.

The Special Public Prosecutor was nominated to the upper house by the President on July 13.

Apart from Nikam, Harsh Vardhan Shringla, Meenakshi Jain, and Sadanandan Master were also nominated to the Upper House under Article 80(1)(a) of the Constitution, read with clause (3) of the same article. The nominations come in the wake of vacancies created by the retirement of previously nominated members.

We will hold a protest at Makkar Dwar (outside the parliament) at 10:30 AM today," he wrote.
