A woman bit off a man's tongue after he allegedly molested and forcibly kissed her. The man, identified as one Champi from Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur, is married and allegedly had an affair with the woman.

35-year-old Champi, a resident of Kanpur was apparently upset about the woman's upcoming wedding to someone chosen by her parents. The woman, engaged to be married, distanced herself from Champi. This, according to the police, caused Champi distress, and he would often try to meet her.

On Monday afternoon, she had gone to the pond. Seeing her alone, Champi decided to follow her to the pond, where he grabbed her and molested her.

The woman resisted and tried to fight him off, but Champi continued to force himself on her and began kissing her. The woman then allegedly bit Champi's tongue hard, severing a portion of it.

Champi cried out in pain, bleeding profusely. Hearing his screams, villagers gathered and informed his family, who took him to the Community Health Center (CHC).

After the initial treatment, doctors referred Champi to a bigger hospital in Kanpur.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Dinesh Tripathi, confirmed the incident and said that a case had been registered against the man and further legal action was being taken.
