Headley in 26/11: FBI briefs Indian investigators
New Delhi: Teams from the US Department of Justice and the FBI on Monday briefed Indian law enforcement counterparts on the the results of the interrogation of terror suspect David Headley, including his alleged role in the Mumbai terror attacks.

This was in fulfillment of US President Barack Obama's commitment to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during the latter's recent visit to Washington, to cooperate closely on the case.

US Embassy spokesperson Elizabeth Fitzsimmons said that the US teams will now travel to Pakistan and follow up leads on Headley's activities in that country.

"We have been consulting closely with Pakistani authorities on this case, following the practices developed in previous high-profile counter-terrorism investigations. After the meetings in New Delhi, the DOJ/FBI team will travel directly to  Islamabad to brief appropriate Pakistani security officials. We are working with Pakistani officials to follow up on leads regarding Headley's activities and connections in Pakistan," she said.
