Earthquake in Delhi NCR: No causalities have been reported so far.

New Delhi: An earthquake of 5.0 magnitude struck Delhi and adjoining areas of National Capital Region (NCR) early morning today, the India Meteorological Department said.

The earthquake tremors were felt across Delhi NCR and parts of north India, after two medium intensity quakes hit Haryana.

The first earthquake struck at 4:25 am and had its epicenter near Rohtak in Haryana. The tremors lasted for nearly one minute.

The epicenter of the first quake, measuring 5.0 on the Richter Scale, was Rohtak district in Haryana, said the Center for Seismology under the India Meteorological Department, reported the Press Trust of India.

The earthquake originated at a depth of 22 km.

The second tremor of 3.2 intensity was felt at 8:13 AM at a depth of 10 km.

There are no immediate casualties reported as if for now.
