My three years old son needs to undergo hypospadias surgery for which he requires general anaesthesia. Will anaesthesia affect his memory? Which blood test should be done to identify window period disease?

No, surgery for hypospadias will not affect his intellect or his memory. It is unlikely that blood will be needed for the operation. I think it is possible to check blood for HIV infection even during the window period, but to the best of my knowledge, this test is not conventionally carried out. My suggestion is not to worry about the blood.
