In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Babulal from BJP was elected from Fatehpur Sikri seat in Uttar Pradesh. He received 4,26,589 votes and won by a margin of 1,73,106 votes. His closest opponent was Seema Upadhyay who contested on a BSP ticket and received 2,53,483 votes. The total voter turnout in Fatehpur Sikri was 61.26 per cent.
The Fatehpur Sikri seat came into existence after the delimitation in 2008. The first Lok Sabha elections on the Fatehpur Sikri seat were held in 2009. In 2009, Seema Upadhyay from BSP was elected from the Fatehpur Sikri seat in Uttar Pradesh. She received 2,09,466 votes. Her closest rival in the 2009 General Election was Raj Babbar who contested on a ticket from Congress. The voter turnout in 2009 was 51.56 per cent.
For the 2019 General Elections, BJP has fielded Rajkumar Chahar. Raj Babbar will again contest on a ticket from Congress and Shreebhagwan Sharma Is BSP's candidate from Fatehpur Sikri. Raj Babbar had earlier contested Lok Sabha election on SP ticket and was elected to parliament in 1999 and 2004 from Agra.
There are five assembly segments under the Fatehpur Sikri parliamentary constituency. These include Khairagarh, Fatehpur Sikri, Bah, Fatehabad, and Agra Rural.
