In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Lallu Singh was elected from Faizabad in Uttar Pradesh on a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket. He received 4,91,761 votes. His closest opponent was Mitrasen Yadav from SP who received 2,08,986 votes. Lallu Singh won the constituency by a margin of 2,82,775 votes.
In the 2009 general elections, the Faizabad seat was won by Nirmal Khatri of the Congress. In the 2004 general elections, the Faizabad parliamentary seat was won by Mitrasen Yadav of the BSP and his runner up was Lallu Singh of the BJP.
The Faizabad parliamentary constituency consists of five Vidhan Sabha seats: Dariyabad, Rudauli, Milkipur, Bikapur and Ayodhya.
Voting for the Faizabad seat was concluded in the fifth phase of elections on May 6.
In the 2019 general elections, the BJP fielded Lallu Singh, the Congress party's candidate is Nirmal Khatri, and the Mahagathbandhan has fielded Anand Sen on an SP ticket.
