Andhra Pradesh saw a tight contest for its 175 assembly seats and 25 Lok Sabha seats on April 11 in the first of the seven-phase Lok Sabha election.

The 25 Lok Sabha constituencies in Andhra Pradesh are: Aruku, Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Anakapalli, Kakinada, Amalapuram, Rajahmundry, Narsapuram, Eluru, Machilipatnam, Vijayawada, Guntur, Narasaraopet, Bapatla, Ongole, Nandyal, Kurnool, Anantapur, Hindupur, Kadapa, Nellore, Tirupati, Rajampet and Chittoor.

According to the census 2011, Andhra Pradesh has a population of 8.46 crore, an increase from 7.62 crore in the 2001 census.

A total of 3.97 crore people were eligible to vote in Andhra Pradesh in the Lok Sabha election 2019.

The results of the 2014 assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh are as follows: BJP 4, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) 102, Navodyam Party 1, YSR Congress 67 and independents 1.

The results of the 2014 Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh are as follows: Congress 2, Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) 11, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) 16, BJP 3 and YSR Congress Party 9.
