Putting an end to all the rumours on the issue of pending JEE Main 2021 sessions, the Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank' has announced the pending exam dates of JEE Main. The remaining sessions of JEE Main will now be held on July and August. The third session will start from July 20 to July 25 and the fourth between July 27 and August 2. Mr Pokhriyal while announcing the JEE Main dates, also said that students who were unable to register earlier will be provided with another chance to apply for the exams. While the JEE Main 2021 application window for the third session will open tonight and close on July 8, the registration for the fourth and final session will start from July 9 to July 12.

Via official notification, the National Testing Agency (NTA) had called off the JEE Main 2021 April, May sessions to contain the spread of Coronavirus. Ever since the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) cancelled Class 12 board exams, social media platforms have been flooded with repeated request from the students and parents to take a final call on JEE Main dates. Education Minister took to Twitter today and said: "I will address you all today at 7:00 pm and will inform you about the information related to the third and fourth stage examination of JEE Main."

This year, in a first, NTA is holding the undergraduate engineering admission test – JEE Main -- in four sessions. While the February and March sessions were held on time without any interruption, the April and May exams had to be deferred.
