Samarth Gupta had immigrated to United States at the age of three with his parents. Currently he is studying at Harvard University concentrating on Economics.
As published in online Harvard Gazette, Samarth Gupta said of Harvard and the opportunities available to students at Harvard, "The thing that stands out to me about Harvard is the people here. I have learned as much in the dining halls here as I have in my classes. The brilliance and diversity of students has pushed me to think about things in a completely different perspective and to have an open mind. I think that experience is really unique to this University."
Samarth has interned for the Council of Economic Advisors, The White House and is also a 2017 Truman Scholar. On campus, he is a captain of the Harvard College Running Club, a representative on student government, and the director of an after-school basketball program for local youth.
As a Rhode Scholar, he plans to study M.Sc. in Comparative Social Policy at Oxford University.
