Yamaha EC-06 Vs River Indie: Differences
Front
On initial impression, both scooters share a familiar silhouette with wide body panels, upright proportions, and chunky stance. Yet, the Yamaha EC-06 appears more restrained in its styling. The most striking difference lies at the front: the River Indie sports twin-square LED headlamps set within a blacked-out panel, while the EC-06 opts for a single, vertically integrated LED unit positioned higher in a glossy black fascia, giving it a sleeker, more refined look.
Another distinction lies in the placement of the LED indicators: on the EC-06, they sit above the headlight, whereas on the Indie, they are mounted lower. This lower positioning makes them more vulnerable to damage, especially in the busy and unpredictable conditions of Indian city traffic.

River Indie
Rear
The EC-06 features a sleek, modern taillight setup with a red light bar stretching across the rear. Above it sits the bold YAMAHA branding, adding a premium touch. The glossy black finish and sporty rear spoiler further enhance its contemporary look. Meanwhile, the River Indie opts for a more rectangular tail-light unit.

Storage
The River Indie offers more storage space, with 43 litres under the seat and another 12 litres of covered storage in the front. By contrast, the Yamaha EC-06 provides a smaller 24.5 litres of storage, as its redesign removed the front covered compartment to make room for the charging port and key slot.
Price
The Yamaha EC-06 comes in at Rs 1.68 lakh (ex-showroom), making it nearly Rs 22,000 costlier than the River Indie, which is priced at Rs 1.46 lakh (ex-showroom).
